Can Themes Be Useful at a Sales Conference?
By Sean Kanan
Have you been given the task of organising a sales conference and you need all the help you can get to make it one that is really successful and get a few good results? Maybe you have already organised conferences in the past and you want to improve on what you have already done.
While you may have been looking online at different ideas for a good conference you will probably have come across the idea of using themes during your conference. While there are a lot of people who will tell you that this is a great idea there will be others who will say that themes are a little tacky.
With this in mind you will want to know can themes be useful at a sales conference? Before you can really answer that question you need to think about the different themes that may be useful to use at a conference with your employees. If you are looking at sales figures that are at an all time low or a product that just won’t sell you might want to think of a theme that is positive, such as turning Mission Impossible into Mission Possible.
This can really give your employees attend a boost that they need and will get their creative minds thinking. If you are using your sales conference as a type of sales course and using ideas from sales training courses you have plenty of themes to choose from.
You could opt for a competition them where you divide your employees into groups and get them to come up with the best sales pitch possible for a particular product. Or you could look along the lines of a sports theme and award prizes based on this.
As you can see these are just a tiny number of different themes that you could use at a sales conference in order to get more from the people who are attending. You will also find that when you use a theme you will be able to get people’s attention much easier than having a conference that seems a little more disjointed.
It is vital that you get the full attention of everyone who attends your conference otherwise you will not be getting the kind of results that you are looking for. Like anyone who delivers good sales programs you need to make sure that you are confident and ready to speak to a large number of people.
If you look and feel confident it will show and you can help yourself to achieve this by using a theme that everyone can get on board with. So as you can see themes can be quite useful at a sales conference as they can help the entire group to come together and work within it.
You can also carry the theme on after the conference and integrate it into sales courses for example. Doing this will give you a clear structure in which your employees can grow and learn and improve their sales figures over time.
